Website update.

Edinburgh Pipe Club website is now live!
It's still under construction but the basics are in place. If there's anything you feel needs added/removed please let me know.
A couple of the pages are password protected for club members only.

Blog or Website?

Now that we are regularly getting a decent turnout for meetings (fingers crossed that continues during the winter lol), I'm thinking about "upgrading" to a proper website.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this, or suggestions for a site host?

Update: shortly after posting this question, I went ahead and registered www.edinburghpipeclub.co.uk anyway. The site is currently under construction so if there are any elements or features you'd like to see, please let me know.

New links.

I've added a few more links to the side bar. I think you can only see them on the "full site" rather than the "mobile" view.
To make it easier to find them, have a look for; Askwith Pipes, Invicta Briars, Northern Briars and Tobacco Ratings.

August meeting (2).

Johnny, Steve, Neil and I had another very pleasant afternoon's smoking. Thanks to Johnny for the samples of Cornell &Diehl's After Hours and the Merde de Cheval (which doesn't taste as bad as it's name suggests lol).
Next meeting will be on Saturday 8th September, from 2.30pm, at The Cuddie Brae...hopefully it will stay dry again.
Additionally, I am meeting a fellow piper who's visiting Edinburgh from Ohio for a few days, on the Friday evening, at The Beehive Inn in The Grassmarket. If you're near after 6.30pm come and join us in their beer garden. I will use it as an opportunity to check it as a potential venue.

August meeting (1).

Marcin, Neil, Steve and I enjoyed a very pleasant afternoon of pipe smoking and chat.
Between us, we got through a wide selection of tobaccos in a variety of pipes.

New seating.

The seating in the smoking area, at The Cuddie Brae, has been updated...nice new tables and benches rather than the old chairs (that were getting a bit uncomfortable).
